Some new phone charms in the process of getting glazed~

Don't they look sticky? I kind of wish I could make them stay that way!

What kind of glaze do you use? you get them so glossy and pretty.

Thanks, its polyurethane. It was still wet at this point, but it dries clear.

That's so crazy! I also usually drip dry, but you want to brush off excess. Make sure you are getting the water based polyurethane, not oil! Most are oil which is good for wood, but not for polymer clay. I also get the one that is high gloss and for interior use. Also the spray can ones never work, so don't get that. I've never had a problem with cracking. I hope this helps! Let me know.

I shall let you know. perhaps i just need to stir it more then i was. i know its the polyurethane diamond high gloss interior water based. but i dont know. Though alot on my sculpts i make i use acrylic paint on it for the color not color sculpey. maybe that makes the difference. Well ill try again with more stirring and see if that helps. i was wondering what i was doing wrong because i just couldnt figure it out and i was getting tired of ruining my good hard work sculpts with cracking glaze.

That could be it. You definitely have the right polyurethane! I will also sometimes glaze over acrylic painted pieces but I still have never had that problem. I would be so frustrated! Good luck, I hope you're able to figure it out.
